Draw yourself surrounded by words and pictures representing your interests, strengths, culture, family, and the ways you help others.
Retell the story together
One reader retells a scene in English and another in Spanish. Discuss which words, expressions, or sounds feel different in each language.
Pollinator-friendly actions
- Grow native flowers that bloom at different times of year.
- Leave a shallow water dish with stones where insects can safely land.
- Avoid pesticides when possible and ask an adult before using any garden product.
- Leave some stems, leaves, and bare soil as habitat for native bees.
- Share what you learn about pollinators with a friend or neighbor.
